William Norman Laffoon

William Norman  Laffoon, age 90, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville, KY.  Mr. Laffoon was born on June 28, 1933 in Hopkins County, KY to the late Willie Laffoon and Effie Farar Laffoon.  He worked for the coal mines as a surface electrician and was a graduate of Charleston High School.  He also worked at Hayes Hardware and proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War.  Mr. Laffoon was a member of the Dunn Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son ~ Johnny (Cathy) Laffoon of Madisonville, KY; sister ~ Joyce Martinez of Dawson Springs, KY; four grandchildren ~ Jared (Aimee) Laffoon, Brandon (Brittany) Laffoon, Travis Laffoon and Colin Laffoon; six great-grandchildren ~ Riley Laffoon, Olivia Collins, Rowan Laffoon, River Laffoon, Kylie Laffoon and Lindy Laffoon. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife ~ Mary Ann Laffoon; second wife ~ Sarah Frances Laffoon; son ~ William Thorton Laffoon; sister ~ Nadine Hicks and brother ~ Owen Laffoon.

A Graveside Service for William Norman Laffoon will be held Saturday, March 30, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at Dunn Cemetery in Dawson Springs, KY with Rev. Jeremy Jessup officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the United States Navy.
