William A. Johnson

William A. Johnson, Sr., age 75, of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at Heartford House in Owensboro, KY. Mr. Johnson was born on July 28, 1949 in Hopkins County, KY to the late William Thomas Johnson and Mary Lou Hammock Blankenship. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict and was a purple heart recipient. Mr. Johnson was of the Christian faith.

Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife ~ Dorothy Moore Johnson of Dawson Springs, KY; two daughters ~ Brittany Jones of White Plains, KY and Mary Johnson of Paducah, KY; two sons ~ Bobby Parish of Robards, KY and William A. Johnson, Jr. of Terre Haute, IN; a sister ~ Peggy Trover of Dawson Springs, KY and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers ~ Donnie Johnson, Rodney Johnson and Ricky Johnson.

Visitation for William A. Johnson, Sr. will be on Saturday, June 7, 2025 from 11:00 A.M. until the 2:00 P.M. funeral hour at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY with Elder Jeff Winfrey officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Dawson Springs, KY. Military rites will be performed by the United States Army Honor Guard.
