Richard (Rick) Dale Bruce

Richard Dale "Rick" Bruce, born on October 22, 1957, in Hopkinsville, KY, passed away at his residence on February 11, 2025. A dedicated public servant, Rick devoted many years to the Warren County Sheriff's Department, ultimately serving as the District 4 Constable in Warren County. His commitment to his community was unwavering, and he earned the respect and admiration of many throughout his career.

Rick was not only a professional but also a deeply proud family man. He is survived by his beloved daughters, Kristy (Phillip) Gentry of Hopkinsville, KY, and Macy Bruce of Bowling Green, KY; his sons, Caleb Bruce of Texas and Rykk (Samantha) Bruce of Ohio;  sisters, Deborah (Bruce) Oyston of Cookeville, TN, Nancy Bagby of Pembroke, KY, and Thelma Camplin of Hopkinsville, KY; and brothers, Tommy (Karen) Bruce of Hopkinsville, KY, and Ben (Stephanie) Bruce of Leitchfield, KY. Rick was a devoted grandfather to Jacob Mason, Alex Bruce, and Jasper Bruce, and he took great joy in being a great-grandfather to Isaiah Mason and Lyla Mason.

Throughout his life, Rick celebrated many proud accomplishments. He was an active member of the Warren County JC Club and the Green River Gun Club, where he shared his passion for the outdoors with friends and family. A licensed concealed weapons instructor, he took pleasure in teaching others the importance of firearm safety. Additionally, Rick devoted time to guiding young generations as a Boy Scout Master.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy Dale Bruce and Louise Callie Steeley Knight, and a son, Jim Bruce. His legacy of service, dedication, and love for family will be profoundly missed.

Visitation for Richard Dale "Rick" Bruce will be on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 from 12:00 until the 2:00 P.M. funeral hour at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY with Bro. Bruce Oyston and Bro. Phillip Gentry officiating.
