Ms. Katherine Louise Lantrip

Katherine Louise Lantrip, age 85, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2015 at Rivers Bend Retirement Community, Kuttawa, KY. She was born in Dawson Springs, KY on June 22, 1929 to the late William Roy Moody and Dempsey Katherine Eli Moody. Ms. Lantrip was a 1948 graduate of Dawson Springs High School and she was a homemaker and beloved mother. A lifelong resident of Dawson Springs, she was a member of the First Baptist Church and she attended Adriel Baptist church.



She is survived by a daughter ~ Barbara (David) Hicks of Eddyville, KY, a son ~ Scott (Brandy) Lantrip of Dawson Springs, KY, two granddaughters ~ Rebecca McElwain & Katherine Anderson, and a great grandson ~ William David Anderson.



Ms. Lantrip is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband ~ Joseph Herbert Lantrip (departed 11-28-1995).



Private funeral services will be held for Ms. Lantrip on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, KY. A public committal service will be held at Shyflat Cemetery, Christian County, KY at 2:00 PM. The public is invited to attend. Rev. David Frisby will officiate.



Active pallbearers include: Brandon Anderson, Jerry Meyers, Keith Cavanaugh, Pete Adams, Jordan Adams, and Barry Darnell.
