Ms. Audrey Juanita Chappel

Audrey Juanita Chappel, age 83, of Madisonville, KY and formerly of Dawson Springs, KY passed away at 8:50 AM on Friday, November 28, 2014 at her residence. Ms. Chappel was born on April 14, 1931 in Marion County, Alabama to John D. Melton and Flora Smith Melton. Ms. Chappel was a professional seamstress and quilter, and she worked for Ottenheimers and Enro. She was a faithful member of the United Methodist Church, and she enjoyed the fellowship of the attendees of the Dawson Springs Senior Citizens Center.



Ms. Chappel is survived by a daughter with whom she lived for the past three years ~ Pattie Jo Hogan of Madisonville, KY; a son ~ Randy Chappel of Dawson Springs, KY; nine grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren.



Preceding Ms. Chappel in death are her parents, a son ~ Gary Dell Luther (5-9- 2008), and three brothers ~ John O. Melton, Dexter W. Melton, and Eugene P. Melton.



Friends are invited to attend a Visitation for Ms. Chappel on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 from 5:00 PM through 8:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, KY, and on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 from 9:00 AM until the Funeral Hour at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 3, 2014. Rev. Brad Shuck will officiate the funeral service with burial to follow at Piney Grove Cemetery.
