Mrs. Lois Marie Parker

Lois Marie Parker left this earth to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 25, 2013. She was born on November 11, 1940 in Dawson Springs to the late William R. Morris and Virginia Reynolds Morris. She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Charlie and Sybil Morris.



Lois attended Dawson Springs Schools until the 10th grade and graduated from high school in Waterford, MI. She worked for the school system sixteen years as a crossing guard. She had a heart for helping those less fortunate. She helped organize an athletic booster club to raise money for student uniforms and supplies.



Lois had a heart for life and loved dancing, snowmobiling, golf, bowling, water skiing and canoeing. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, a life member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and belonged to the United Methodist Church of Dawson Springs, KY. She was a very sweet and caring friend, a devoted wife and a loving mother.



She is survived by her husband and soul mate of 53 years ~ Jack Parker of Christian County, KY; a daughter ~ Lisa Marie Parker of MI; and a son ~ Jack (Rip) Parker and his wife, Michelle of Waterford, MI; a sister ~ Jean Hale; six brothers ~ Tyrone (Cathy) Morris, Terry Morris, Ronnie (Vicky) Morris, Danny Lee ( Gi Young) Morris, Ricky (Shawn) Langston and Tommy Langston; and several nieces and nephews.



Visitation will be on Monday, May 27, 2013 from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. and on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 from noon until the 2:00 P.M. funeral hour at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. E.J. Hatton officiating. Interment will follow in Max Grove Cemetery on the Parker family farm.



Active Pallbearers will be Jason Morris, Tom Parker, Dale Parker, Mike Trabaugh, Ellis Blair and Bill Singleton. Honorary Pallbearers will be her brothers, Eugene Trabaugh and James Hillwig.
