Gleora Ellen Poe Inglis, age 77, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Baptist Health in Madisonville, KY. Mrs. Inglis was born on July 13, 1938 in Dawson Springs, KY to the late David Moody Poe and Ollie Calvert Poe. She was a 1955 graduate of Charleston High School. She had been a bookkeeper and clerk for the Dawson Springs City and Water for 27 years. She was of the Christian faith.
Mrs. Inglis is survived by her husband of 59 years ~ Donald Inglis of Dawson Springs, Ky; two daughters and sons-in-law ~ Jahn & Chris Smiley of Dawson Springs, KY and Lori & Curt Lockhart of Eddyville, KY; a daughter ~ Lois (Mike) Inglis of Dawson Springs, KY; a sister ~ Dola (Douglas) Monroe of Dawson Springs, KY; a brother ~ Ruby Poe of Dawson Springs, KY; a sister-in-law ~ Gayle Poe of Dawson Springs, KY; six grandchildren ~ David Van Smiley, Kristin Smiley, Kayla Woodfork, Keila Shultz, Kelly Bugg and Wes Purdy; eleven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers ~ Edward D. Poe and Sidney R. Poe; and a sister ~ Ruth Poe Purdy.
Visitation for Mrs. Gleora Poe Inglis will be on Thursday, October 1, 2015 from 5 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. and on Friday, October 2, 2015 from 9:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. Funeral Service will be conducted on Friday, October 2, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at Beshear Funeral Home with Elder Jeff Winfrey officiating. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery in Dawson Springs, KY.
Active Pallbearers will be David Van Smiley, Donovan Dame, Wes Bugg, Wes Purdy, Reed Smiley, and Andy Schultz. Honorary Pallbearers will be Gage Smiley, Kolby Crook, Ben Purdy, Nehemiah Shultz, Doug Monroe and Norris Cotton, and Miles Woodfork.
