Mrs. Gladys Blanche Hicks

Gladys Blanche Hicks, age 93, of Princeton, Kentucky passed away on July 2, 2013 at Caldwell Medical Center in Princeton, KY. Mrs. Hicks was born on May 19, 1920 in Chicago, IL to the late Frederick & Blanche Charlan. She was a beloved mother and homemaker and she also worked as a factory worker for many years. She was a member of the Adriel Baptist Church,



Mrs. Hicks is survived by her husband~ James Hicks of Princeton, KY; a daughter~ Shirley Arrington of Smith Station, AL; son~ Daniel Barton of Grant Park, IL, and two nephews ~ David Hicks, Lyon County, KY, & Jimmy Hicks, Dawson Springs, KY; five grandchildren~ Niles Wayne Arrington, Junior Floyd Arrington, Robbie Lee Arrington, Tyler James Barton, and Casey Danielle Barton; eleven great grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren.



In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hicks is preceded in death by two brothers~ Arthur and George Charlan.



Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. on Friday, July 5, 2013 at Beshear Funeral Home. Her funeral service will be at Beshear Funeral Home at 1:00 P.M., conducted by Rev. David Frisby. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery in Dawson Springs, KY.
