Mrs. Dorothy Collins

Dorothy Collins, age 93, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away at 6:34 P.M. on Sunday, April 14, 2013 at Tradewater Health and Rehabilitation Center, Dawson Springs, Kentucky. Mrs. Collins was born February 11, 1920 in Christian County, KY to the late John Wilson Darnell and Nora Mildred Pyle Darnell. Mrs. Collins was a beloved wife and homemaker and retired after many years of working at Ottenheimer Manufacturing. She was of the Baptist faith.



Mrs. Collins is survived by a son~Leon Collins of Dawson Springs, KY; a brother ~ Rev. Glenn Darnell of Madisonville, KY; two grandchildren~ Tammy Workman & Deon Collins; four great-grandchildren~Elizabeth, Emilee, Cydney & Cole.



Preceding Mrs. Collins in death were her parents; her husband~ J, W. Collins (departed 4/10/1997,) two sisters~Willodean Sandifer & Wanda Russell; four brothers ~ John Darnell, Bill Darnell, Herman Darnell & Melvin Darnell.



Visitation will be Wednesday, April 17, 2013, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs. Graveside Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Rosedale Cemetery in Dawson Springs, KY with Rev. Ricky Denny presiding.



Pallbearers will be Deon Collins, Kent Workman, Jesse Robinson, Cole Collins, Jon Blalock & Larry Meredith.
