Mrs. Connie Kate Ligon

Connie Kate Ligon, age 99, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2013 at her residence. She was born in Hopkins County, Kentucky on August 19, 1913 to the late Dixon & Alva Neisz Inglis. Mrs. Ligon was an elementary teacher and was a 1930 graduate of Murray Teachers College. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dawson Springs, KY.



She is survived by a niece ~ Jean Goebel of Indiania; a granddaughter and her husband ~ Cheryl and Steve Cullen and a grandson ~ Michael Cullen; great grandchildren ~ Rhianna Thomasson and husband, Anthony; Justin Cullen and wife, Katie; Valarie Ruark and husband, Matt, and Ethan Cullen; great-great-grandchildren ~ Vincent, Cristian, Torie Belle, Gunner and Kenzie; Caregivers ~ Sandra Towe and Carolyn Hale.



Mrs. Ligon was preceded in death by her parents and her husband ~ Garnet Ligon; two sisters ~ Clyda Mae Hengenrother and Margaret Frances; a brother ~ Kermit Inglis; a grand-nephew ~ Monty Cullen and a grandson ~ Monty Cullen, Jr.



Visitation will be Wednesday, January 9, 2013 from 10:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M. at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. The funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Beshear Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Dunn Cemetery in Hopkins County, KY.
