Mr. Thomas R. Hunt

Thomas R. Hunt, 70, of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2012 at 5:40 A.M. at Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson, Kentucky. Mr. Hunt was born January 1, 1942 in Jenkins, KY. Mr. Hunt was a 1960 graduate South Hopkins High School. He was a retired coal miner and served his county in the United States Navy. He was a member of Dunn Baptist Church and attended Dawson Springs United Methodist Church.



Mr. Hunt is survived by his wife of 50 years ~ Brenda Pleasant Hunt of Dawson Springs, KY; a daughter & son-in-law ~ Stephanie & Curtis Gamblin of Princeton, Ky; a son & daughter-in-law ~ Paul & Jennifer Hunt of Hopkinsville, KY; a sister ~ Doris Sizemore of Madisonville, KY; two brothers & sisters-in-law ~ Jim & Pat Hunt & Frank & Dorothy Hunt of Dawson Springs, KY; three grandchildren ~ Natalie Carter, Justin Gamblin & Jared Gamblin; three great-grandchildren ~ Hunter & Hayden Gamblin & Charlie Ann Gamblin; several nieces and nephews.



Preceding Mr. Hunt in death were his parents ~ Dock & Irene Huddleston Hunt; three brothers ~ Robert Ray Hunt, Bill Hunt & Danny Hunt.



Visitation will be Wednesday, August 15, 2012 from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. and Thursday, August 16, 2012 from 9:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M. at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. E.J. Hatton & Elder Jeff Winfrey on Thursday August 16, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. Burial will follow at Menser Cemetery in Hopkins County, Kentucky.



Active pallbearers will be Mike Long, David Hunt, Tommy Vandiver, Terrell McKnight, Gary Hunt & Larry LaFerre.
