Mr. Jessie Glen Alexander

Jessie Glen Alexander, age 81, of Dawson Springs, KY, formerly of Arizona and Missouri, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Baptist Health in Madisonville, KY. Mr. Alexander was born on March 14, 1932, in Ravenden Springs, Arkansas, to the late Jess K. and Lottie Mae Ball Alexander. Mr. Alexander was a heavy equipment operator and an electrician. Additionally, he was a medic in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Landmark Apostolic Holiness Church of Dawson Springs, KY.



Mr. Alexander is survived by his wife of 61 years ~ Mary Christine Alexander of Dawson Springs, KY; four daughters ~ Glenda Akers (Rev. Robert E. Akers) of Dawson Springs, KY, Becky Mitchell (Randy) Of Greenville, KY, Peggy Nett of Greenville, KY & Debbie Skelton (Rick) of Madisonville, KY; two sisters ~ Josephine Abston of Vancouver, WA and Violet Norris of Conway, Arkansas; two brothers ~ Calvin Alexander and Alfred Alexander of Phoenix, AZ; nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.



Preceding Mr. Alexander in death were his parents; a daughter ~ Stella Jo Ann Alexander; two sisters ~ Eva Gray and Sharon Alexander.



Visitation for Mr. Jessie Alexander will be from 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Landmark Holiness Apostolic Church in Dawson Springs, KY. Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Rusty Akers, Bishop Robert E. Akers and Rev. Robert G. Akers presiding. Burial will take place on Monday, November 18, 2013 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.



Active Pall Bearers will be Randy Mitchell, Jeremy Skelton, Tyler Norris, Daniel DePriest, David Hutton and Wesley Norris. Honorary Pall Bearer will be Troy Jones, Rev. Jerry Hutton, Rev. Dennis Burgess and Clarence Norris.
