Mr. James Amon Cotton, Sr.

James Amon Cotton, Sr., age 72, of Bruceton, TN and formerly of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away on April 26, 2015 at his residence. Mr. Cotton was born on December 26, 1942 in Dawson Springs, Kentucky to the late Melvin Larry Cotton and Juanita Victoria Stevens Cotton. He was a retired material cutter at Gaines Industries.



Mr. Cotton is survived by three daughters ~ Judith Ann (Terry) Schramm of Winchester, TN, Holly Victoria Wiseman of Cadiz, KY, and Karen Sue Cotton of Lawrenceburg, IN; two sons ~ Thomas Allen Cotton, Sr., of Dawson Springs, KY, and James Amon (Sandra) Cotton, Jr. of McEwen, TN; three sisters ~ Irene Harness of Dawson Springs, KY, Delores Ellis of TX, and Pamela Sutton of Dawson Springs, KY; one brother ~ (William Henry “Buddy” Cotton of IL; ten grandchildren ~ Stephanie Michelle Ivy, Thomas Allen Cotton, Jr., April Leighann Henson, Rhiannon Marie Ritter, Robert Lynn Williams, Jr. Tricia Nicole Smith, Tatia Amber Burt, William James Burt, James Devin Allen Cotton, and Victoria Desirae Cotton; twelve great grandchildren; two step grandchildren ~ Martika McClurkan and Demetria Seay; and three step-great grandchildren.



Preceding Mr. Cotton in death were his parents and a brother ~ Larry Cotton.



Visitation for Mr. James Amon Cotton, Sr. will be on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 P.M. and on Thursday, April 30, 2015 from 9:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. at Beshear Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at Beshear Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Felker officiating. Burial will follow in Piney Grove Cemetery in Caldwell County, KY.



Pallbearers will include: Joshua Henson, Thomas Allen Cotton, Jr., Robert Lynn Williams, Jr., Tony Sutton, Tyler Sutton, and Jason Stuart.
