Mr. Herbert Wayne Hopper

Herbert Wayne Hopper, Jr., age 87, of Madisonville, died on the afternoon of Sunday, November 9, 2014 at Baptist Health Hospital, Madisonville, KY. He was born on November 29, 1926 in Christian County, Dawson Springs, KY. He was retired from Scott McGaw Motor Company in Madisonville. He attended the Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses - Madisonville. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Glenda Sue Johnston Hopper; his parents, Nola Mae Menser Hopper and Herbert Wilkerson Hopper; sisters, Imogene (Jean) Hopper Lyle and Marie Hopper Parker; brothers, Harvey Bayne Hopper and Henry Ford Hopper. Survivors include two sons, Ellis Wayne Hopper (Linda) and Larry Evan Hopper (Janice), both of Charlotte, N.C.; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; along with nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at the Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery in Dawson Springs. Visitation is Wednesday, November 12, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to your local food bank.
