Mr. Donald Morris Martin

Donald Morris Martin, age 76, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Baptist Health in Madisonville, Kentucky. He was born on December 25, 1938 in Hopkins County, KY to Henry Justin Martin and Gracie Pearl Davis Martin. Mr. Martin was a coal miner and retired with Dotiki Mines. He loved his family, his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and he enjoyed the great outdoors. He attended the Lafayette Baptist Church.



Mr. Martin is survived by his faithful wife of 55 years, Betty Lou Adams Martin of Dawson Springs, KY, two daughters ~ Barbara Lou Shipp and Julie Estelle Yeager both of Dawson Springs, KY, a son & daughter-in-law ~ Timothy Morris & Missy Martin of Dawson Springs, KY, six grandchildren ~ Keith (Diana) Shipp, David Shipp, Wendy (Colby) Thorpe, Lori Martin, Kevin Yeager, and Katie Yeager, three great grandchildren ~ Haley Shipp, Neal Hayden Shipp and Logan Thorpe, three brothers ~ Henry Amon Martin, William Anthony Martin and Dan Houston Martin of Dawson Springs, KY, and three sisters ~ Izella Pearl Martin, Annette Cummings and Bernedette Scott.



Preceding Mr. Martin in death are his parents, three brothers ~ Clarence Eugene Martin, Gayle Wayne Martin, & John Lewis Martin; three sisters ~ Barbara Lou Martin, Novella Mae Lynn and Roetta Jo Huddleston.



A visitation will be held for Donald Morris Martin on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, KY and on Thursday, February 26, 2015 from 9:00 AM until the funeral hour at 1:00 PM with the Rev. Bobby Sellers officiating. Burial will follow at Lafayette Cemetery.



Pallbearers include: Jim Adams, Michael Adams, Colby Thorpe, Bradley Brown and Mendell Scott and David Gray.
