Mr. Charles F. Hayes passed away June 2, 2011 at the Dawson Springs Health & Rehabilitation Center. He was born May 22, 1933, in Grayson County to the late Jimmy Hayes and Sarah Westerfield Hayes Duncan.
He was a tree trimmer and a small engine repairman.
In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by three sisters, Mabel Casey, Pearl Ochsner & Janie Alfred; and three brothers, Lawson Hayes, Norman Hayes and O.C. Duncan.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Anna Purdy Hayes of Dawson Springs, KY; two sons, Nicky Hayes and David Hayes, both of Dawson Springs, KY; a sister. Corine Alfred of Hopkinsville, KY; two brothers, Harry Duncan of Princeton, KY & James Duncan of Madisonville, KY; three grandsons and many nieces and nephews.
Pall Bearers were Chris Hayes, Jeff Evans, Jon Casey, Irvin Ochsner & Frankie Purdy and Kevin Purdy. Brandon Hayes was an honorary pall bearer.
Burial was in Lafayette Cemetery.
