Mr. Chales Herbert Alfred

Charles Herbert Alfred, age 83, of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Baptist Health in Madisonville, KY. Mr. Alfred was born on July 14, 1932 in Dawson Springs, KY to the late Kelly Alford and Edith Carner Alford. Mr. Alfred served his country in the United States Army during the Korean war and retired after working 40 years at Peabody Coal Company. He was of the Baptist faith.



Mr. Alfred is survived by his wife ~ Hazel Traylor Alfred of Beulah, KY; two sons and daughters-in-law ~ Steve and Paula Alfred of Providence, KY and Jeff and Lawanda Alfred of South Fulton, TN; three sisters ~ Georgia Marie England of Indianapolis, IN, Sue Beckner of Morton’s Gap, KY and Teleatha Evitts of Charleston, KY; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.



Preceding Mr. Alfred in death were his parents; four sisters and a brother.



Visitation for Mr. Charles H. Alfred will be on Thursday, July 14, 2016 from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at Beshear Funeral Home with Rev. Patrick Yates officiating. Burial will follow in Old Beulah Cemetery in Beulah, Kentucky.



Pallbearers will be Ralph Cotton, Jared Washburn, Ryan Alfred, Danny Brown, Chance Alfred and Cameron Orten.
