Mr. Bobby Lee Clark

Bobby Lee Clark, age 69, of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2013 at Baptist Health in Madisonville, KY. Mr. Clark was born on July 11, 1944, in Hopkins County, KY, to the late Herbert Shipp & Dorothy Nell Sharp Shipp. He retired from Pennyrile State Park where he worked in golf course maintenance; he also worked as assistant maintance supervisor of the golf course at Lake Barkley State Park and supervisor of the golf course at Kentucky Lake State Park. He was a coal miner at Pyro mines for 15 years. Mr. Clark served his country in the United States Army from 1962-1965 where he served in Korea and Germany. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dawson Springs and a former member of the Al E. Orten Lodge of Dawson Springs.



Mr. Clark is survived by his wife ~ Donna Burris Clark of Dawson Springs, KY; a daughter ~ Melanie McCarty of Cincinnati, OH; two sisters ~ Barbara Clifford and Virginia “Ginger” Tucker both of Dawson Springs, KY; a brother ~ Sunnie Shipp of Manitou, KY; two grandchildren ~ Gavin McCarty and Allison McCarty.



Preceding Mr. Clark in death are his parents, a daughter ~ Melissa Danielle Clark (departed 5/6/1991) and a brother ~ Neal Shipp.



Visitation for Mr. Bobby Lee Clark will be on Thursday, October 31, 2013 from 6:00 – 9:00 P.M. and on Friday, November 1, 2013 from 8:00 – 11:00 A.M. at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, November 1, 2013 at 11:00 at Beshear Funeral Home with Rev. Jackie Perkins officiating. Burial will follow in Creekmur Cemetery in Caldwell County, KY.
