Monroe Harrison Cluck, born on February 5, 1935, in Dawson Springs, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026, at TriStar Skyline Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. A devoted husband, father, and community member, Mr. Cluck lived a life marked by dedicated service and steadfast faith.
A proud veteran, Monroe served as a radio operator in the United States Navy from 1953 to 1957, demonstrating his commitment to his country during a formative period of his life. Following his military service, he devoted his career to public service, working as the Appropriations Director for the Veteran's Administration until his retirement in 1990. His work was characterized by his tireless dedication to the welfare of veterans, reflecting a deep respect for those who served alongside him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Wanda Joann Redden Cluck; his daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Ernie Catron, Jr. He cherished his role as a grandfather to Michaela Anderson and her partner Ashley Chastain, who brought him great joy and pride. Additionally, he is survived by his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Wayne and Karen Redden, along with multiple nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Orie Alvin and Ann Shepherd Cluck, and by his sister and brother-in-law, Edith and William Shelly Lovell.
Visitation for Monroe Harrison Cluckt will be on Saturday, March 21, 2026 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM and on Sunday, March 22, 2026 from noon until the 2:00 PM funeral hour at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY with Mr. Sean Peebles officiating. Burial will follow in Piney Grove Cemetery in Dawson Springs, KY.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Redden, Ashley Chastain, Roger Redden, Brandt McEwen, Michaela Anderson, Joe Redden, Sean Peebles and Chris Toth.
