Mable Ray Russell

Mable Ray Russell, age 92, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family, on Monday, July 7, 2025 at the home of her daughter in Madisonville, KY. Mrs. Russell was born on February 3, 1933 to the late Lester Raymond Morgan and Clara Bertha Cunningham Morgan. She was truly an amazing wife, mother and Meme. She was a kind and loving friend who dedicated her life to her family and made sure they were supported and always felt loved and important. Everyone who knew her felt loved by her. Mable loved the Lord and was a devoted member of the First United Methodist Church in Dawson Springs, KY. She enjoyed watching University of Kentucky basketball games, bird watching and the beauty of her flower gardens.

Mrs. Russell is survived by two daughters ~ Diann (Scott) Menser of Dawson Springs, KY and Tana (David) Cannon of Madisonville, KY; her granddaughter ~ Korrie (Chance) Alfred of Princeton, KY and four great-grandsons ~ Caden Russell Alfred, Presten Ryan Alfred, Lawsen Randal Alfred and Kingsten Ray Alfred.

Preceding Mrs. Russell in death were her parents; her beloved husband of 54 years ~ John Lush Russell and three brothers ~ Charles Raymond Morgan, John Logan “Toots” Morgan and Robert Junior Morgan.

All services for Mable Ray Russell will be private.

Active Pallbearers are Dave Cannon, Chance Alfred, Presten Alfred, Scott Menser, Caden Alfred and Barry Russell.

The family would like to express their deepests gratitude to Hosparus Health for the compassionate care and love they provided to Mable. Their presence was a comfort for their entire family.
