Kathy Joe Hickerson

Kathy Joe Hickerson, age 72, of Dawson Springs passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at her home.  Mrs. Hickerson was born on November 24, 1951 in Madisonville, KY to the late William Bivins and Nevelyn Blanchard Bivins. She was a member of Day Spring Assembly of God.  Mrs. Hickerson worked for many years Dawson Springs School lunch room where the children referred to her as “Granny.”.

  
 She is survived by her husband of 53 years ~ Andrew Steven Hickerson of Dawson Springs, KY; two daughters ~ Carol Elaine ( Keith) Dismang and Emily Jo (Kevin Lewis) Abbott both of Dawson Springs, KY; three sisters ~ Linda Meredith of North Aurora, IL, Jan Bivins and Tammy (Monty) Walker both of Madisonville, KY; a brother ~ Mark Bivins of Dawson Springs, KY; nine grandchildren ~ Steven Bearden, Nathan Bearden, Isiah Abbott, Christian Abbott, Charles Abbott, Emily Elizabeth Barnes, Seth Dismang, Alyssa Shaw and Colton Dismang; six great-grandchildren ~ Greyson Cline, Sophia Bearden, Willow Abbott, Winnley Abbott, Breighlynn Bearden and Larkin Bearden.

Mrs. Hickerson was preceded in death by her parents; a son ~ Jason Hickerson; sisters ~ Paula Jimenez and Betsy Franks; brothers ~ Woody Latham and Frankie Bivins; a great-granddaughter ~ Paisley Abbott.
 
 Visitation for Mrs. Kathy Joe Hickerson will be Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour at 3:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY with Pastor Kathy Redden officiating.
