Karen Lee Bowles, age 81, of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away on February 25, 2026, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville, Kentucky. She was born on December 12, 1944, in Dawson Springs, Kentucky, to the late Roy and Mary Agnes Cunningham Workman.
Karen dedicated over 20 years of her life to Old National Bank before retiring. She also spent several years working at Family Drugs and Outwood Hospital. She was proud graduate of Dawson Springs High School, Class of 1963, and a devoted member of Silent Run Baptist Church.
She is survived by her loving family, including her son David (Pam) Bowles of Burkburnett, TX, and her daughter Diana (Wayne) Hall of Dawson Springs, KY; grandchildren, Deven (Annie) Bowles of Oklahoma City, OK, and Sarah Caitlin Hall and her fiancé, Matt Henry, of Marion, KY, as well as her great-grandson, Paul "August" Bowles of Oklahoma City, OK; sister Joyce Nichols of Princeton, KY, her sister-in-law Susan Bowles Hoover of Eddyville, KY, and her adopted daughter-in-law Sherron Hall Rickard of Madisonville, KY.
Karen was preceded by her parents; her beloved husband, Stephen Ford Bowles, as well as her sisters Betty Barnett, Marion Campbell, and Dorothy Fox, and her brother Jerry Workman.
Visitation for Karen Lee Workman Bowles will be on March 5, 2026, from 11:00 AM until the 1:00 PM funeral hour at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY with Rev. Jamey Daughtery and Elder Jeff Winfrey officiating. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Dawson Springs, KY.
Pallbearers for her service will include Mike Nichols, Kent Workman, Ross Workman, John Honnold, Doug Littlejohn, and Matt Henry, with honorary pallbearers Gary Barnett, Lewis Compton, and Bill Lanham.
