Joe Denvil Vaughn

Joe Denvil Vaughn, age 79, of Charleston, KY passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at his residence. Mr. Vaughn was born on April 5, 1939 in Hopkins County, KY to the late Frank Vaughn and Cecil Ferguson Vaughn. He was a life-long and retired Coal Miner, having retired from Arch Coal in Illinois. He was a UMWA Member. Mr. Vaughn was a Christian.



Mr. Vaughn is survived by three daughters ~ Patricia Cummings, Virginia (Greg) Mitchell and Jodie Utley of Dawson Springs, KY, two brothers ~ James (Marilyn) Vaughn and William (Shirley) Vaughn of Dawson Springs, KY, eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.



Preceding Mr. Vaughn in death are his parents, his beloved wife ~ Carol O’Bryan Vaughn (departed 9-7-2015), a daughter ~ Carol Jeanette Vaughn, one sister ~ Virginia May Vaughn, and three brothers ~ Glenn Ray Vaughn, Sr., Harold Vaughn and Junior Vaughn.



Visitation for Mr. Joe Denvil Vaughn will be Friday, May 18, 2018, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and on Saturday, May 19, 2018, from 9:00 AM until the funeral hour at 1:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, with the Rev. Bobby Sellers, officiating. Burial will follow at the McNeely Cemetery. Active Pallbearers are Franklin Suttle, Travis Greer, Cordale Matheny, Greg Mitchell, James Thomas Vaughn and Troy Vaughn.
