Jewel Wayne Knight

Jewel Wayne Knight, age 80, passed away at his residence in Dawson Springs, KY on Friday, January 9, 2026. He was born on December 3, 1945 in Hopkinsville, KY to the late Halie Knight and Elizabeth Sowell Knight was a welder for many years for Peabody Coal Company and was a member of the Gospel Assembly Church in Dawson Springs, KY.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years ~ Linda Jean Adams Knight of Dawson Springs, KY; two sons ~ Jeff Knight and Jason (Melissa) Knight both of Dawson Springs, KY; one brother ~ Eddie Knight of Hopkinsville, KY; and one grandson ~ Justin Knight.

Mr. Knight was preceded in death by his parents ~ Halie Knight and Elizabeth Sowell Knight; a sister ~ Marlene Turner and four brothers ~ Tom Knight, John Knight, Howard Knight and Noble Knight.

Visitation for Jewel Wayne Knight will be on Monday, January 12, 2026 from 10:00 AM until the 1:00 PM funeral hour at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY with Rev. Ben Butero officiating. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery in Dawson Springs, KY.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Knight, Justin Knight, Kenny Bearden, Jason Knight, Terry Hamby and Ron Huddleston.
