Jerry Wayne Howton, age 77, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at Baptist Health in Madisonville, KY. Mr. Howton was born on February 17, 1943 to the late Elvie Huie Howton and Bernice Davis Howton. He retired after working for many years for Bellsouth and was a member of Dawson Springs Baptist Temple and Star of Bethlehem Church. Mr. Howton also served his country in the United States Air Force.
Mr. Howton is survived by his wife of 55 years ~ Wanda Rose Oliver Howton of Dawson Springs, KY; a son and daughter-in-law ~ David and Hollie Howton of Dawson Springs, KY; a chosen son and daughter ~ Lori and Ray Back of Dawson Springs, KY; a sister ~ Sue Colton of Dawson Springs, KY; four brothers ~ Rev. Donnie (Linda) Howton of Dawson Springs, KY, Larry Joe (Betty) Howton of Lexington, KY, Dale Howton of Dawson Springs, KY and Rocky Howton of Dawson Springs, KY; six grandchildren ~ Seth (Tiffany) Howton, Haiden Howton, Avery Howton, Jake Back, Maddie Back and Mollie Back; two great-grandsons ~ Sawyer Howton and Samuel Howton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son ~ Michael Duane Howton; two brothers ~ Billy Howton and Ricky Howton and infant twins ~ Randy and Sandy Howton.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the governmental required social distancing, there will be a private visitation and service for Jerry Wayne Howton Rev. Seth Howton officiating. A private burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Princeton, KY.
Active Pallbearers include Seth Howton, Ray Back, David Howton, Haiden Howton, Jake Back and Maddie Back.
