Jackie Reese Rambo, age 89, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on April 24, 2025, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville, Kentucky. Born on April 1, 1936, in Dawson Springs, Kentucky, Jackie lived a life dedicated to hard work and family values. Jackie's faith played an integral role in his life as he was of the Pentecostal faith.
Throughout his career, he devoted many years as an underground coal miner with the Island Creek Coal Company. In addition to his mining career, he also served the community as a butcher at IGA and Davis Market, where he was known for his friendly disposition and exceptional service. Jackie is survived by three daughters and their spouses, Toni and Mike Storms, Sherry and Damon Vinson, and Jill and Harvey Martin all of Dawson Springs, KY; a sister, Hilda Bullock Calvert City, KY; and a brother, Donald Rambo of Dawson Springs, KY. He leaves behind a legacy through his five grandchildren, Misti Gibson, April Tooley, Lyndsey Rogers, Reese Martin, and Schyuler Storms, along with eleven great-grandchildren: Savannah Robinson, Kenzie Oakley-Gould, Erin Blanford, Ashton Crook, Aaron Tooley, Jeffery Phillips, Alex Tooley, Cora Rogers, Taylor Martin, Addison Felty, and Carter Storms one grear-great-granddaughter, Caroline Tooley
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, Shirley Davis Rambo; his parents, Noah and Mary Lovell Rambo, as well as four sisters—Ammanell Buntin, June Baird, Mary Agnes Ausenbaugh, and Margaret Pearl Rambo—and six brothers—Benny Rambo, Raymond Rambo, Monroe Rambo, Bucky Rambo, Doug Rambo, and Ronald Rambo.
Visitation for Jackie Reese Rambo will be on Monday, April 28, 2025 from 11:00 A. M. until the 1:00 P.M. funeral hour at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY with Pastor Kathy Redden officiating. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery in Dawson Springs, KY.
Pallbearers will be: John Rogers, Schyuler Storms, Brian Gibson, Aaron Tooley, Jeffrey Phillips and Reese Martin.
