Hugh David Swatzell, Jr.

Hugh David Swatzell, Jr., age 72, of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away on Monday, June 30, 2025 at his home. Mr. Swatzell was born on March 17, 1953 in Princeton, KY to the late Hugh David Swatzell, Sr. and Gerdie Mae Huggleston Swatzell. He worked for many years as a coal miner and a heavy equipment operator.

Mr. Swatzell is survived by his daughter ~ Melody Carrol Swatzell of Dawson Springs, KY; his son ~ Jamie David (Krista) Swatzell of Dawson Springs, KY; and four grandchildren ~ Timothy Lucas Ellis, Ashtyn Jade Swatzell, Baylee Paige Swatzell, and Kye David Swatzell.

He was preceded in death by his parents and ten brothers and sisters and a grandson~ Cannon Drake Swatzell.

Graveside services for Hugh David Swatzell, Jr. will be held on Monday, July 7, 2025 at 4:00 P.M. at Rosedale Cemetery in Dawson Springs, KY.
