Dorothy Lee Orten

Dorothy Lee Orten, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at Hartford House Hospice in Owensboro, KY. Mrs. Orten was born on January 16, 1935 to the late Everett Lantrip and Ethel Messamore Lantrip. She was a beloved mother and homemaker and was of the Christian faith.

Mrs. Orten is survived by two daughters ~ LaDonna Peyton of Madisonville, KY and Chrystal Renfrow of Nortonville, KY; a brother ~ Jimmy Lantrip of Ilsley, KY; thirteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Preceding Mrs. Orten in death were her parents; her beloved husband of 66 years ~ Carl L. Orten (departed 3/31/2019), six sisters ~ Mary Agnes Keys, Phoneda Melton, Rachel Bruch, Shirley Ann Vaughn, Betty Mitchell and Deborah Lantrip; three brothers ~ Everett Lantrip, Jr., Billy Douglas Lantrip and Russell Lantrip.

Visitation for Dorothy Lee Orten will be Monday, August 4, 2025, from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour at 1:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, KY with Rev. Frank Cotton officiating. Burial will follow at McKnight Cemetery in Christian County, KY.
