Donald David Baggett, age 78, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2026 at his home. He was born on December 4, 1947 in Madisonville, KY to the late James Andrew Baggett and Earline Norris Baggett. Mr. Baggett retired after working 30 years as a railroad conductor and attended Lafayette Baptist Church. He served his country in the United States Army and served during the Vietnam Conflict.

Mr. Baggett is survived by his wife ~ Charlotte Thorp Baggett of Dawson Springs, KY; his daughter ~ Marlae (Robert) Sandefur of Ashbyburg, KY; his son ~ Bill (Petra) Baggett of Dixon, KY; two sisters ~ Bonnie Holt of Princeton, KY and Delane Hobgood of Onton, KY; a brother ~ Lonnie Baggett of Dawson Springs, KY; five grandchildren ~ Cassandra Baggett, Thomas Coleman Baggett, Daniel Sandefur, Georgia Sandefur and Tea Sandefur.

Mr. Baggett was preceded in death by his parents and his son ~ David Andrew Baggett – departed February 18, 2026.

Visitation for Donald David Baggett will be on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 from 12:00 PM until the 2:00 PM funeral hour at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY with Rev. J.D. Holt and Rev. Ralph Alexander officiating. Burial will follow in New Beulah Cemetery in Beulah, KY. Military Rites will be performed by the United States Army Honor Guard and the Hopkins County Honor Guard.

Pallbearers will be: James Andrew Baggett, Bill Baggett, Robert Sandefur, Randall Martin, Daniel Sandefur and Kevin Martin.
