Diannia Sue Purdy, age 73, of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2026 at the Dawson Springs Nursing Home and Rehab. Mrs. Purdy was born on June 3, 1953 in Evansville, IN. Diannia worked for 24 years at Metalsa Manufacturing and was a 1971 graduate of Dawson Springs High School. She was also a member of First Baptist Church in Dawson Springs, KY. 

Mrs. Purdy is survived her husband of 33 years ~ David Purdy of Dawson Springs, KY; her son ~ Casey Alan Fain of Dawson Springs, KY; her step-daughter ~ Tracy (Deon) Collins of Dawson Springs, KY; six grandchildren ~ Cole (Lexi) Collins, Cydney Collins, Haley (John) Bethel, Ethan Daniel Fain, Matalie Nicole Fain and Casey Joe Fain; and two great-grandchildren ~ Ryder Edwards and Lilian Sue Edwards. 

She is preceded in death by her parents ~ Denver Nichols, Jr. and Ellen Louise Love Nichols; a stillborn grandchild ~ Elijah Fain and her first cousin who was like a sister ~ Sue Hannah. 

Visitation for Diannia Sue Purdy will be on Friday, August 14, 2026 from 12:00 PM until the funeral hour at 2:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, KY with Bro. Tommy Gunn officiating. Burial will be at Rosedale Cemetery in Dawson Springs, KY.

Active Pallbearers will be Cole Collins, Casey Fain, Garrett McLevain, Ethan Fain, Clint Baker and John Bethel. Honorary Pallbearers will be Barry Smiley and Tony Robinson.
