David Wayne Weaver, born on September 10, 1950, in Nebo, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at his residence on Monday, August 18, 2025. He was a dedicated coal miner for many years, working hard to provide for his family and community.

David proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict, exemplifying a commitment to service that extended throughout his life. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 5595, where he found camaraderie and purpose. In his earlier years, he enjoyed fishing and racing cars, and he also took great pleasure in hosting Thanksgiving dinners for the VFW, sharing his culinary talents with fellow veterans and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Blalock Weaver, of Dawson Springs, Kentucky. His family includes a daughter, Tammy (Terry) Wood, of Caldwell County, Kentucky; brothers, Michael (Debbie) Weaver of Clay, Kentucky, and Bobby (Charlotte) Weaver of Nebo, Kentucky; grandchildren, Shawna Brown, Jacob Brown, Justin Wood, Erin Gobin, and Jeremy Gobin; and great-grandchildren, Cainen Brown, Tate Wood, and Hero Brown. He was also blessed with step-daughters, Terry (Jeff) Smith and Andrea Gobin, step-sons, Brandon Zettler and Thomas Dale Page, along with several nieces and nephews.

David was preceded in death by his parents, David Burton Weaver and Dorothy Lee Vincent Weaver; his sisters, Betty Sue Weaver, Barbara Sutton, Judy Faye Hopper, and Linda Sue Jones; and a step-daughter, Andrea Zettler Gobin.

Visitation for David Wayne Weaver will be held at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, Kentucky, on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and again on August 21, 2025, from 11:00 AM until the 1:00 PM. funeral hour with Elder Jeff Winfrey officiating.  Burial will follow at Piney Grove Cemetery in Caldwell County, KY with military rites being performed by the United States Army and the VFW Post 5595 Honor Guard.

Pallbearers will be: Jeremy Gobin, Jacob Brown, Charles Weaver, Eric Gobin, Justin Wood and Carl Weaver.
