Coy Lee Pitt

Coy Lee Pitt, age 72, of Kuttawa, KY, passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at Princeton Health & Rehab in Princeton, KY. Mr. Pitt was born on August 1, 1945 in Madisonville, KY to the late Bingley Coy Pitt and Maude Lee Smith Pitt. He was a graduate of Jonesborough High School in Jonesborough, TN and worked 26 years as a coal miner at Island Creek Coal Mine. He was a UMWA member and a member of Dunn Missionary Baptist Church.



Mr. Pitt is survived by his wife of 53 years ~ Brenda Robinson Pitt of Kuttawa, KY; a daughter ~ Sherry Stuart of Dawson Springs, KY; a son ~ Ricky Pitt of Kuttawa, KY; a step-brother ~ Ray Allen Hall of Streamwood, IL; four grandchildren ~ Brandi, Brittany, Kristen and Ethan; and three great-grandchildren.



Preceding Mr. Pitt in death were his parents and a sister ~ Wilma Anderson.



Visitation for Mr. Coy Lee Pitt will be on Monday, October 2, 2017 from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. and on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 from 9:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at Beshear Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Lamb and Rev. Bobby Sellers officiating. Burial will follow in McNeely Cemetery in Dawson Springs, Kentucky.
