Charles Wayne Giffin

Charles Wayne Giffin, age 75, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2023 at his home. Mr. Giffin was born on June 16, 1948 Madisonville, KY to the late Joseph Giffin and Lelia Morgan Giffin.  He retired after working 45 years as a surface coal miner and was a member of Star of Bethlehem Church.

Survivors include his wife ~ Elaine Morfoot Giffin of Dawson Springs, KY; two sons ~ Troy Wayne (Terri Gayle) Giffin and Rev. Brad (Kandi) Giffin both of Dawson Springs, KY; two sisters ~ Dean (Charlie) Newberry and Shelia Orten and a brother ~ Russell (Carolyn) Giffin all of Dawson Springs, KY; four grandchildren ~ Travis Giffin, Benjamin Giffin, Kaleb Giffin and Nathaniel Giffin; four great-grandchildren ~ Paislee Giffin, Parker Giffin, Elliana Giffin and Madalyn Giffin.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters ~ Darlene Giffin and Robbie Young.

Visitation for Charles Wayne Giffin will be held Friday, December 29, 2023 from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour at 1:00 PM at Star of Bethlehem Church, 1315 Racetrack Road, Dawson Springs, KY with Rev. Brad Giffin officiating. Burial will follow at Ilsley Cemetery in Hopkins County, KY.
