Bobby Joe Newberry

Bobby Joe Newberry, age 65, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at his residence. Mr. Newberry was born on November 3, 1957 in Princeton, KY to Raymond Newberry and Irene Hunter Newberry. Mr. Newberry was an underground coal miner and truck driver, and he was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Shannon Buck Hallum Newberry; a daughter, Christy Messemore; a son, Bobby Joe Newberry, Jr. all of Dawson Springs, KY; a son, Kerry Scott Melton of Oklahoma, and step-son, Christopher Hallum of Dawson Springs, KY; two sisters, Margaret Ladd and JoAnn Johnson of Dawson Springs, KY; one-step daughter, Agusta Hallum; one step-son, Christopher Hallum of Dawson Springs, KY; one grandchild, Emily Newberry and one step-grandson, Traylynn Hallum.

Mr. Newberry is preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters.

Visitation for Bobby Joe Newberry will be Monday, January 9, 2023 from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour at 1:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, KY with Rev. Donnie Howton officiating. Burial will follow at West Lawn Cemetery near Hanson, KY.
