Betty J. Dunbar, age 70, of Kuttawa, KY and formerly of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at Lake Barkley Health and Rehab in Kuttawa, Kentucky. She was born on September 5, 1955, in Madisonville, Kentucky, to the late Mack Ray Dunbar and Betty Lucille Evans Dunbar. Ms. Dunbar was a mother and homemaker and was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Princeton, KY.

She is survived by her loving family, including her son ~ Rodney Dunbar of Dawson Springs, KY; sisters ~ Shirley VanHoose of Miami, OK, Marilyn Lewis of Princeton, KY, Judy (Ricky) Gregg, Brenda (Lois) Trotter and Janice Akin all of Dawson Springs, KY; brothers ~ William Dunbar at Madisonville, KY and James Dale (Michelle) Dunbar of Dawson Springs, KY; and several nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded by her parents; sisters ~ Sharon Sue Dunbar and Barbara Rose Dunbar; brothers ~ Mack Raymond Dunbar, Roy Thomas Dunbar and Arthur Eugene Dunbar.

Graveside services will be held for Betty J. Dunbar at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 3, 2026 at Old Beulah Cemetery in Beulah, KY with Rev. Ira Guill officiating.

Pallbearers will be: Marc Wallace, Tim Terry, Lewis Trotter, Dave Trotter, J.B. Dunbar and Mitchell Trotter. Honorary Pallbearers will be Lois Trotter and Austin Terry.
