Barbara Jean Lovelace

Barbara Jean “Nanny” Lovelace, age 78, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Baptist Health Deaconess, Madisonville, KY. Ms. Lovelace was born November 20, 1942, in Granite City, IL to the late Mary Stone Terry and Russel L. Terry. As the wife of a career soldier, she traveled extensively. She spent almost eight years overseas including assignments in Augsburg and Ludwigsburg, Germany, and Rotterdam, Holland. She was of the Baptist faith. She was employed at Dawson Springs Manufacturing Company for ten years; but, her greatest love was being a mother, grandmother, homemaker, quilter, gardener, and fisher lady.



Barbara Jean Lovelace is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Terry Wayne and Jennifer Lovelace of Buffalo, NY; four grandchildren, Katie Lovelace, Michelle Ballenger, Christopher Cobb and Brett Cobb; and one great-grandchild, Nora Ballenger.



She is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Neil Wayne Lovelace, and her beloved daughter, Jeanie Weaver.



In keeping with her wishes, no visitation or services will be held and her body will be cremated.
