Obituary for Terry Jay Mitchell

Terry Jay Mitchell, age 55, of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at Baptist Health in Madisonville, KY. Mr. Mitchell was born on June 6, 1964 in Madisonville, KY to the Phyllis Hilda Woodruff Mitchell and the late Kenneth Mitchell. He was a forensic biologist, lab technician and also worked for several years at Groves Construction. Mr. Mitchell was a graduate of Murray State University and attended the Church Xtreme in White Plains. He served his country in the United States Navy. Terry loved the Lord, his family and his cats.
Mr. Mitchell is survived by his wife of 12 years ~ Cathy Lynn Mitchell of Dawson Springs, KY; a daughter ~ Kayla Mitchell of Dawson Springs, KY; three sons ~ Bobby Mitchell of Lexington, KY, Andrew Hopper of Bowling Green, KY, and Zach Hopper of Dawson Springs, KY; two sisters ~ Karen Daugherty and Sandy (Scotty) Alexander both of Dawson Springs, KY; brother ~ Kenny (Karla) Mitchell of Dawson Springs, KY; three grandchildren ~ Dylan Mitchell, Shaylea Mitchell and Kensley Norvell; mother-in-law ~ Lorraine Lynn; brother-in-law ~ Wesley(Amy) Lynn; special family friends ~ Jenny & Kevin Delawson and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; a sister ~ Connie Vandiver and his father-in-law ~ Jerry Lynn.

There will be a memorial service for Mr. Terry Jay Mitchell on October 20, 2019 at 3:00 P.M. at the Church Xtreme, 128 David Knight Drive, White Plains, KY with Pastor Terry Oakley officiating.
