Mrs. Rosa Lee Harris

Rosa Lee Harris, age 100, of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away on Monday, May 28, 2012 at her residence. Mrs. Harris was born on January 28, 1912 in Hopkins County, KY. She worked for many years as domestic help for several families in the Dawson Springs area and was a member of the Dawson Springs Church of Christ.



Mrs. Harris is survived two daughters ~ Mary Townsend of Dawson Springs, KY and Bonnie Mae Brown of Dawson Springs, KY; two sons ~ William Robert “Buddy” Harris of Panama City, FL & James Dewey Harris of Dawson Springs, KY; nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren & twelve great-great grandchildren,



Preceding Mrs. Harris in death were her parents ~ Burl Miller and Mary Easter Howton Miller Coulter; a step-father ~ Jim Coulter; her husband ~ Robert “Doc” Harris; four sisters ~ Minnie Brown, Ella Powell, Mary Frances “Fannie” Adams & Nancy Catherine Harris; a brother ~ James Lewis Miller; a grandson ~ James William Sherman; a great-great grandson ~ Nathanial Ray.



Visitation for Mrs. Rosa Lee Harris will be on Thursday, May 31, 2012 from 10:30 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Beshear Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Howton officiating. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Dawson Springs, KY.



Pallbearers will be her grandsons ~ Robert Sherman, J.R. Sherman, Trent Brandon, Jeff Sherman, Mike Harris & Ron Wilson. Great-Grandsons will be honorary pallbearers ~ Sean Thomas Wilson, Justin Sherman & Shawn Patrick Brandon.
