Lena Mae Beshear, age 86, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at Baptist Health Medical Facility, Madisonville, KY. Mrs. Beshear was born on February 26, 1933 in Caldwell County, KY to the late Alex Lamb and Gertrude Orange Lamb. She was a cook for Lynn’s Restaurant and The Place Restaurant, a beloved mother, grandmother and homemaker. She was a 1951 graduate of Dawson Springs High School and she was a member of the Faith Apostolic Church.
Mrs. Beshear is survived by a daughter ~ LaDonna Washburn of Dawson Springs, KY, and a son ~ David (Charlotte) Beshear of Dawson Springs, KY and a brother ~ Jimmy Lamb of Princeton, KY; grandchildren ~ Nathan Stallins and Amy (Shannon) Albro; and great-grandsons ~ Zander Albro and Jaxon Stallins
Mrs. Beshear is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband ~ Paul Beshear (departed 2012), a grandson ~ Chris Beshear, two brothers ~ Ray Gordon Lamb and Kenneth Lamb, and a sister ~ Thelma Moore.
Visitation for Mrs. Lena Mae Beshear will be Tuesday, June 4, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, KY and on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 from 9:00 AM until the funeral hour at 1:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Rev. Bob Allen and Rev Jesse Cavness. Burial will follow at the Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Active pallbearers include Shannon Albro, Nathan Stallins, Jimmy Edward Lamb, Eric Lamb, Tim Moore and Jimmy Lamb. Rev. Wayne Lamb will serve as an Honorary Pallbearer.
