Laymon R. Crockett

Laymon R. Crockett, age 72, of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2017 at Baptist Health, Madisonville, KY. Mr. Crockett was born on November 4, 1944 in Hopkins County, KY to the late Lawrence Crockett and Gladys Ann Brown Crockett. He retired after working as a Pipe Fitter with Kerco for 23 years. He had also worked as a coal miner in previous years.



Mr. Crockett is survived by two sons ~ Kevin Crockett and Jason (Mackenzie) Crockett of Dawson Springs, KY, two sisters ~ Joyce (Leon) Moore of Madisonville, KY and Ruth (Michael) Mabrey of Washington State, three grandchildren ~ Cooper Crockett, Reed Crockett and Joseph Guizio, and one great-grandchild ~ Natalynn.



Preceding Mr. Crockett in death were his parents, his wife ~ Joan Leslie Coker Crockett (departed 5-5-2003), a brother ~ Cliff “Buddy” Crockett and a sister, Barbara Jones.



Visitation for Mr. Laymon R. Crockett will be Wednesday, February 22, 2017 from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour at 2:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. Funeral services will be officiated by Rev. Jim Lantrip and Entombment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Dawson Springs, KY



Active Pallbearers will be Chris Evitts, Scott Bean, John “Rowdy” Hibbs, Bill Lothringer, Rick Guizio, and Michael Mabrey.
