George Ausenbaugh

George Clinton Ausenbaugh, age 84, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Baptist Health in Madisonville, KY. Mr. Ausenbaugh was born on December 16, 1933 in Dawson Springs, KY to the late Everett Lee Ausenbaugh and Norma Williams Ausenbaugh. After serving his country in the U.S. Army for two years, he worked for Whirlpool for what would become 40 years and retired in 1996. He was of the Christian Faith and a long time member of the American Legion Post 310.



Mr. Ausenbaugh is survived by his wife of 61 years, Willa Dean Purdy Ausenbaugh of Dawson Springs, KY, a daughter and son-in-law ~ Lisa Gail (Danny Jenkins) Ausenbaugh of Webster County, KY, a son and daughter-in-law ~ Larry Wayne (Lori Ann) Ausenbaugh of Henderson, KY and two sisters ~ Audrey Jackson and Sue Alexander of Dawson Springs, KY.



Preceding Mr. Ausenbaugh in death are his parents, a 3 year and 10 month old son ~ Lee Alan Ausenbaugh, two brothers ~ Bill Ausenbaugh and Johney Ausenbaugh, and one sister ~ Dorothy Hunt.



Visitation for George Ausenbaugh will be Friday, May 25, 2018, from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour at 2:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. Rev. Donnie Howton will officiate. Burial will follow in Dunn Cemetery in Hopkins County with military honors provided by the US Army.
