Gary Dale Howton

Gary “Dale” Howton, age 70, of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at his residence in Dawson Springs, KY. Mr. Howton was born on October 24, 1951 to Elvie Huie Howton and Bernice O. Davis Howton. Mr. Howton worked with the Maintenance Department at Pennyrile Resort State Park at the golf course. Mr. Howton was an avid hunter and loved nature and the outdoors.



Mr. Howton is survived by three brothers, Rev. Donnie Howton (Linda) of Dawson Springs, KY, Larry Joe Howton (Betty) of Winchester, KY, and Rocky Lynn Howton of Dawson Springs, KY; and one sister, Kathy Sue Cotton of Dawson Springs, KY; many nieces and nephews.



Preceding Mr. Howton in death are his parents; three brothers, Jerry Wayne Howton, Rickey Dane Howton, and Billy Ray Howton; and a twin brothers, Randy Kay and Sandy Fay Howton.



Visitation for Gary “Dale” Howton will be Thursday, November 11, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM and on Friday, November 12, 2021 from 9:00 A.M. until the funeral hour at 1:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. Rev. Donnie Howton and Rev. Nathan Howton will officiate the service with burial to follow at Dunn Cemetery.



Active Pallbearers include Robin Howton, “B.J.” Cotton, Braxton Cotton, Deon Collins, Kevin Purdy, and Caleb Chapman. Honorary Pallbearers include Doug Cansler, Jaxton Steussel and Bobby Joe Cotton.
