Darlene Burnell

Darlene Burnell, age 63, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at her residence. Mrs. Burnell was born February 25, 1957 in Madisonville, KY to Leland “Curly” Fields and the late Lilly Fay Menser Fields Berry. She graduated from Northwestern University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and was a member of Dawson Springs First Baptist Church. Mrs. Burnell lived and worked in the Chicago, Illinois area for many years before retiring to Dawson Springs two years ago.



Survivors include her husband ~ John Burnell of Dawson Springs, KY; her father ~ Leland “Curly” Fields of Dawson Springs, KY; a brother and sister-in-law ~ Jerry Lynn & Tina Fields of Itasca, IL; several nieces and nephews, one great niece and one great nephew.



She was preceded in death by her mother and step-father ~ Lilly Fay Menser Fields Berry & Harry Berry.



Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the governmental required social distancing, there will be a private graveside service and burial for Darlene Burnell on Thursday, March 26, 2020 with Rev. Trent Keeton officiating. A private burial will be at Christian Privilege Cemetery.
